Gibraltar Homes Exceeds 50% of 2010 Sales
In First Quarter of 2011

The first quarter of 2011 was a busy time for the sales staff at Gibraltar Homes as the Florida building company recorded more than 50% of its total sales volume from 2010 in just three short months.

Gibraltar reported 16 new home sales for a total of over $8 million in the first quarter with an average sale price of $550,000. The homes were sold in various communities within Lakewood Ranch, on privately owned lots, and at Bougainvillea Place in Ellenton.

Company officials are pleased to note significant signs of business improvement on nearly every front. In 2010, Gibraltar closed on 30 contracts with over $11 million in sales. This year, they are quickly approaching last year’s benchmark after just a few months. The average sales price is up, and there is a higher dollar volume. The company recently expanded its sales staff to keep up with increased customer traffic. They are building larger, more expensive homes, including several custom homes in the 5,000 - 6,000 square foot range.

“We are seeing a big increase in people looking for new homes,” said Albert Sanchez, president and co-owner of Gibraltar Homes. “Consumers are more informed about their options; they are scrutinizing and shopping very carefully, but they are back in the market and ready to buy.”

Sanchez credits his company’s dramatic increase in sales to the convenience and flexibility of pre-priced design collection packages that allow clients to select a la carte between collections to satisfy their personal taste and budgets.
